Over the past couple of years there have been a few brass backflow preventers stolen from customer owner water service lines. The backflow preventer is an important safety measure to help keep our drinking water safe. When stolen this equipment can be expensive to replace and cause a big inconvenience as the water must be turned off until the replacement is completed.
