MMWD is pleased to partner with the California Academy of Sciences to host an all-day, FREE, family-friendly program on the Mt. Tamalpais Watershed in celebration of MMWD’s 100-year anniversary.
The program includes volunteer citizen-science opportunities and features an all-day “bioblitz” to collect and document rare and native botanical specimens. There will also be guided walks and workshops on wild sound stories, birding, the Bay Area Puma Project, tracks and scat, butterflies, astronomy and more! With your camera or smart phone we encourage you to document any species you observe.
Please join us for this special, once-in-a-hundred-years program! Visit our website to see the full list of activities and pre-register for events.
In addition to the California Academy of Sciences, we’d like to thank our partners in this event: North American Butterfly Association, iNaturalist, Wild Sound Stories, PRBO Conservation Science, Bay Nature, Felidae Conservation Fund, San Francisco State University, the Bay Area Puma Project, Mt. Tamalpais State Park, Mt. Tamalpais Interpretive Association and the Friends of Corte Madera Creek.
