MMWD is hosting a series of workshops this fall to work with interested community members—Marin residents, conservationists, Mt. Tamalpais enthusiasts—to develop a citizen-based, non-profit organization dedicated to enhanced stewardship of the Mt. Tamalpais Watershed.
The first workshop was held on September 22 and helped to clarify the goals and objectives for a “Friends” organization. Click here for more information about the first workshop and to see the suggestions proposed for watershed projects.
The next meeting will be held on Monday, November 15, from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. in the MMWD Board Room at 220 Nellen Avenue in Corte Madera.
At the workshop, we will:
- Solicit feedback on the draft business plan for a “Friends” organization;
- Discuss the means and methods for capturing public enthusiasm in the work of the “Friends” organization; and
- Brainstorm suggestions for the name of the organization.
For planning purposes, please click here to let us know if you will be attending the November 15 workshop.
If you have any questions about the workshop, please contact MMWD Watershed Manager Mike Swezy (firstname.lastname@example.org).
