MMWD is very excited to be hosting “Conserving Together,” a public water conservation summit, this coming Wednesday, July 8, 2009.
This watershed event—our first conservation summit—is especially relevant in light of the state’s ongoing drought, and MMWD’s ambitious efforts in the last several years to expand our water conservation programs.
We’ll hear from a panel of leaders in water conservation, who will discuss conservation efforts in Marin, in the state, and across the country, addressing the question, “How Far Can We Go?” Summit attendees will have the opportunity to address this question themselves during breakout discussion groups on a wide range of conservation topics—from landscaping to behavior change to legislating and financing conservation.
The Summit is being held at Embassy Suites, 101 McInnis Parkway, San Rafael. A complimentary breakfast will be provided. The Summit is free and open to the public, but advance registration is required. For more information and to register, please click here. The deadline for registration is Monday, July 6.
We hope you will be able to join us!
